🎓 Personalised Support for Every Student
We love to chat with our students and their families each time they attend a class, checking in, offering encouragement, and staying connected.
Every dancer joins us with their own unique goals. Whether it’s to build confidence, pursue performance, or simply enjoy moving to music, we offer personalised guidance to help each student thrive.

👯 A True Dance Family
We cultivate a “family” atmosphere where friendships flourish. Our students often form close, lasting bonds with their classmates.
Older students take on leadership opportunities such as assisting in younger classes or helping during exam days. These experiences build confidence and responsibility, while serving as inspiration for the younger children.
💫 Our People, Our Values
At the heart of the Brenda Key School of Dance is a team that truly understands the value of dance for young people, not just as a skill, but as a source of joy, confidence, and lifelong friendships.
Our school is managed by Miss Debbie, a former Brenda Key parent herself. Having seen first-hand the positive impact of dance on her own children, she is passionate about extending the opportunity to dance to as many young people as possible.
As both a manager and a parent, Miss Debbie brings:
-
A warm, empathetic approach to families
-
A deep understanding of what parents are looking for
-
A commitment to making dance accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable
She is always available to offer advice, answer questions, and help new families feel welcome from day one.

👏 Celebrate Progress: Watching Weeks
At the end of every term, we host “watching weeks” an opportunity for a sharing of work where friends and family are invited to watch the students perform.
It’s a chance for loved ones to see the children’s progress, celebrate their hard work, and witness the joy dance brings.
💡 Our Philosophy
We are committed to:
-
Keeping our fees as low as possible so that cost is not a barrier to participation
-
Focusing on the continuation of our school’s legacy
-
Providing meaningful opportunities for all our students—whether they dance for fun, growth, or ambition
We believe that dance should be accessible, inspiring, and community-driven—and every decision we make is guided by this belief.
Many of our students stay dancing with us from the moment they first step into Pre-School Ballet aged 3, to the moment they leave for university, and we love seeing their journeys!
Some of our students pursue careers in the performing arts and enjoy success as professional dancers.
Even students who choose to pursue different career paths tend to continue their passion for dance, joining dance societies at university and continuing with adult dance classes.
They come back and visit every now and again and tell us about their adventures!
